2016 Blue-White Date Set

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; April 29, 2015 – The 2016 date has been set for one of the highlights of the Penn State sports calendar, the annual Blue-White Game presented by AAA.

The Blue-White football game will be played Saturday, April 16, 2016 in Beaver Stadium. The intra-squad scrimmage is tentatively scheduled to kick in the early to mid afternoon. More details about Blue-White Game and related events will be announced after the 2015 regular season.

The Nittany Lions concluded spring practice on April 18, with an estimated 68,000 fans attending the Blue-White Game, the nation’s third-largest spring football crowd this year.

The Blue-White Game presented by AAA is the university’s unofficial annual spring reunion. The game has drawn more than 50,000 fans in seven of the past nine years, including four crowds above 70,000.

Head football coach James Franklin, along with five other head coaches and eight assistant football coaches, will be participating in the 12-stop Penn State Coaches Caravan, starting May 5 in Harrisburg and Lancaster. Franklin is scheduled to appear at all 12 events in Pennsylvania and the Mid-Atlantic region. For all the Coaches Caravan event dates and locations, please visit: alumni.psu.edu/coachescaravan.

Nearly 3,000 new season tickets and more than 5,000 group tickets have been sold to date for the 2015 season. The Beaver Stadium Virtual VenueTM Select-A-Seat began earlier this month for the 2015 campaign and can be accessed by visiting GoPSUsports.com/seasontickets.
