Knicks Trade For Derrick Rose

By Ananth Pandian/CBSSports.com After having “internal discussions” about trading for Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose, the New York Knicks completed the deal on Wednesday. Rose is the centerpiece of the trade but there are several other players involved. According to Berger, the Bulls are sending Rose, reserve guard Justin Holiday and a 2017 second round pick to the Knicks for Robin Lopez, Jerian Grant and Jose Calderon. For the majority of last season, the Knicks have been searching for an upgrade at the point guard position as Calderon became a liability on defense and Grant was just a rookie. They…

Cavs Win Thrilling NBA Finals Game 7, 93-89

By Janie McCauley OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) – LeBron James cradled the shiny gold trophy and struggled to sum up what might be his sweetest championship yet, the one he is so proudly bringing home to his native northeast Ohio just as he promised to do when he returned to the Cavaliers two summers ago. Later, flanked by his three children on Father’s Day, a cigar between his lips and winning net as a necklace with the lingering stench of champagne, James began to understand the magnitude of his accomplishment for Cleveland after a half-century wait. ”I’m coming home with what…

CBSSports.com/By Robby Kalland With a 69 in the final round at Oakmont Country Club on Sunday, Dustin Johnson claimed the 2016 U.S. Open, his first major championship, and forever changed the narrative of his career. Johnson’s win was not without plenty of drama, because nothing can be easy for him at a major. On the fifth…

In an emergency motion filed on Wednesday in Waco’s federal court, Briles accused Baylor of using him and the football program as “camouflage” for institutional failure to comply with Title IX regulations. “The conclusion is inescapable that the motive of Baylor University and the Board of Regents was to use its Head Football Coach and the Baylor Athletic Department…
