Clifford Named Big Ten Co-Offensive Player of the Week

    UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State redshirt senior quarterback Sean Clifford has been named the Big Ten’s Co-Offensive Player of the Week along with Northwestern’s Evan Hull, it was announced by the league office on Monday.   Clifford earns the first Offensive Player of the Week accolade for his career. He is Penn State’s first Offensive Player of the Week since KJ Hamler on Oct. 21, 2019.   Clifford threw for a career-high 401 yards and a career-high-tying four touchdowns in Penn State’s 38-17 win over Villanova on Saturday. Numerous Football Game Day Improvements to be Unveiled at Beaver Stadium

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – With a return to full capacity in Beaver Stadium this fall, there will also be a return to traditional pre-game festivities to include tailgating, team arrival and traffic patterns. However, as the 107k strong return for the first time since the 2019 season, fans will see a variety of game day improvements during their visit.   Most notably, Gates E and F have been expanded to ease the entry process and reduce congestion near the Beaver Stadium ticket office. UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State senior safety Jaquan Brisker has been named to the Paycom Jim Thorpe Award Preseason Watch List, it was announced on Monday.   This list includes 40 of the nation’s best defensive backs, representing 10 conferences and one independent. UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State senior linebacker Jesse Luketa and junior linebacker Brandon Smith have each been named to the Butkus Award Watch List, it was announced on Monday. Dambach and Naeher Set to Open Tokyo Olympics Wednesday

TOKYO, Japan – Penn State women’s soccer head coach Erica Dambach and alumna Alyssa Naeher (’09) are slated to begin the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo on Wednesday, July 21.
