Ficken Signs With Jaguars

The team announced on their official Twitter page that Ficken was signed to the team’s 90-man roster. Earlier this year, Ficken worked out for Jacksonville. Last year, Ficken received off-season chances with Arizona and Kansas City but ultimately was not signed to a deal. GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Dennis Green, a trailblazing coach who led a Minnesota Vikings renaissance in the 1990s before a less successful run with the Arizona Cardinals, has died. He was 67. Green’s family posted a message on the Cardinals website on Friday announcing the death. “His family was by his side and he fought hard,” the statement read. Other details were not immediately disclosed, though the Cardinals said Green had died of a heart attack. COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — The NFL says it is reviewing domestic violence allegations against Dallas Cowboys rookie Ezekiel Elliott. A police report says Elliott denied allegations that he assaulted his girlfriend early Friday in Columbus, Ohio, causing bruises and abrasions. The report says he wasn’t arrested because of conflicting versions of what happened. Three witnesses told police they didn’t see Elliott assault the woman. WACO, Texas (AP) — Former Baylor defensive end Shawn Oakman has been indicted by a Texas grand jury on a charge of sexually assaulting a woman at his apartment earlier this year. A McLennan County grand jury returned the indictment against the 24-year-old Oakman, who finished his college eligibility in December as the Bears’ career leader in quarterback sacks.
