MLB.com – The Phillies acquired first baseman Justin Bour and cash considerations from the Marlins on Friday in exchange for an unnamed Minor League pitcher, sources confirm to MLB.com. Bour had reportedly been claimed by the Phillies after Miami had placed the first baseman on trade waivers, and the two sides subsequently agreed to a deal, as reported by MLB Network insider Ken Rosenthal. Bour first needed to clear trade waivers before he was able to be freely traded by the Marlins, due to the passing of the July 31 non-waiver Trade Deadline.
