Dear Nittany Nation, The last week has been like no other in our history, and although its reach is far beyond sport, our Intercollegiate Athletics program and our student-athletes, coaches and staff have been dramatically impacted. Our week started on a high as we looked forward to NCAA Championship competition for many of our winter sport teams and our spring sport teams dispersed for packed spring break competitions. Big Ten, Penn State Cancels Competition Through End of Academic Year

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Big Ten Conference and Penn State Athletics announced today the cancellation of all conference and non-conference competitions through the end of the academic year, including spring sports that compete beyond the academic year. As such, Penn State Athletics teams will no longer compete for the remainder of the 2019-20 academic year. In addition to the Big Ten’s announcement today, Penn State Athletics is suspending athletically-related activities indefinitely. This will include the cancellation of the annual Blue-White game. Coronavirus Precautions for Penn State Home Athletic Events

Limited attendance protocols in place from March 11 through April 3   UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State Athletics has remained in regular communication with University and Big Ten leadership to monitor developments related to the coronavirus (COVID-19). Chambers Named Werner Ladder Naismith Coach of the Year Semifinalist

ATLANTA – Penn State men’s basketball coach Patrick Chambers was named one of semifinalists for the 2020 Werner Ladder Naismith Coach of the Year Semifinalist as announced by the Atlanta Tipoff Club today. Chambers has guided the Nittany Lions to 21 overall wins and 11 Big Ten Conference wins, most league wins in his tenure at Penn State.
