Everett Golson Leaving ND
The Notre Dame quarterback competition has apparently been settled.
Everett Golson has decided to transfer and spend his final season of (immediate) eligibility playing elsewhere, as first reported by ESPN.com. Just where that elsewhere will be is not known at the moment.
Golson was on pace to graduate from Notre Dame this month, and as a graduate transfer, wherever he ends up, he will not have to sit out a season.
And he’ll likely have plenty of suitors to choose from. While he had problems with turnovers in 2014, Golson is still a talented quarterback with plenty of experience. He’s thrown for 5,850 yards and 41 touchdowns in 25 career games with the Irish, and was the team’s starting quarterback in 2014.
