Maryland LB Suspended For Late Julius Hit

By Brian Bennett (ESPN) – Maryland coach DJ Durkin has suspended linebacker Isaiah Davis for this week’s game against Minnesota because of his late hit on Penn State kicker Joey Julius on Saturday. Davis was ejected for unsportsmanlike conduct after he hit Julius following a third-quarter kickoff in Penn State’s 38-14 win. Durkin said after the game that he would have benched Davis had he not been ejected. It was the second week in a row that a player had been ejected for hitting the 258-pound Julius late, as Minnesota’s Jaylen Waters suffered the same fate for a similar late…

Old School Maryland Uniforms

Maryland football is hoping for a better future, but for now a throwback to the past will have to suffice as reason to celebrate in the present. On Monday, the Terps unveiled the Under Armour uniforms the team will wear against Penn State. Usually on the cutting edge of style, Maryland has decided to go old school with these alternates. Our guess is that you will see united support for these 1961 throwback uniforms from both Maryland diehards and casual college football fans, particularly paired with Penn State’s traditional whites. Why 1961, you ask? Maryland has designed these uniforms to…
