Indeed, Bell spent much of Sunday watching the film “Happy Feet.” “I wasn’t nervous about the game,” Bell said. “I don’t watch ESPN or NFL Live, because I know they’ll talk about the game. Heeeeeeeeeeath Miller Retires
By Will Brinson | CBSSports.com NFL Writer Heath Miller called it a career on Friday, announcing his retirement after 11 years with the Steelers. Miller, 33, was drafted by Pittsburgh in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft out of Virginia and spent his entire career playing for the Steelers. He won a pair of Lombardi Trophies with Pittsburgh and was the picture of reliability, starting 167 of 168 games during the regular season and all 15 postseason games. Miller finishes his career first in receptions (592), receiving yards (6,569) and touchdowns (45) by a tight end in Steelers history….
Steelers-Bengals Game Fines
Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict isn’t the only player who was hit with a punishment following Cincinnati’s wild playoff loss to Pittburgh last week. At least five other people have also been punished in the form of a fine. CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora has reported that the NFL has handed out almost $85,000 in fines stemming from Saturday’s game. The biggest fine went to Bengals cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones, who was fined $28,940 for making contact with an official during the fourth quarter of the Bengals’ 18-16 loss. Other fines include: Steelers Assistant Coach Joey Porter – $10K Bengals…
